Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 August 2026
This policy explains what AXLE collects, why, and what you can do about it — in plain language, without the boilerplate that makes these documents unreadable. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
01Who we are
AXLE is an all-in-one operating system for independent used-car dealerships, covering market data, pricing, listing syndication, and customer follow-up. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or use the AXLE platform, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
You can reach us any time at yong@cloudberryai.io or +1 (760) 421-5190.
02Information you give us
We collect the information you provide directly, which is limited to what the product needs to work:
- Account details — your name, work email address, phone number, and the password you set. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; nobody at AXLE can read yours.
- Dealership details — business name, address, and the market you operate in, so we can show you the right local comparables.
- Inventory and pricing data — the vehicles you upload or import, including VINs, photos, descriptions, costs, and asking prices.
- Customer records you enter — the contact details and vehicle interests of shoppers you add to the CRM. This information belongs to you; we process it on your behalf.
- Anything you send us — demo requests, support messages, and the contents of any documents you upload.
03Information we collect automatically
When you use the platform we record standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, and the times you open them. We use this to keep the service running, diagnose faults, and understand which features earn their place.
We use cookies and similar storage only for what the site needs to function — keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and securing your session. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell what our analytics see.
04Information from third parties
AXLE is a market-data product, so some of what you see comes from outside sources:
- Public vehicle listings from dealership websites and listing marketplaces, used to build the competitor pricing and comparable-inventory views.
- Vehicle history reports retrieved by VIN from our reporting provider when you request one.
- Authentication and infrastructure data from our hosting and database provider.
We do not buy consumer marketing lists, and we do not enrich your customer records with data purchased from brokers.
05How we use information
We use the information described above to provide and operate the platform: to authenticate you, show your inventory and market position, generate pricing guidance, syndicate your listings where you ask us to, send the messages your CRM is configured to send, bill you, and provide support.
We also use aggregated, de-identified data to improve the product — for example, to measure how accurate our pricing signals are. Aggregated data never identifies you, your dealership, or your customers.
We do not use your inventory, pricing, or customer data to advantage another dealer. Your numbers are not sold, licensed, or shared with your competitors.
07How long we keep it
We keep your account and dealership data for as long as your subscription is active. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your data within 90 days, except where we are required to keep records longer — billing records, for instance, which we retain as long as tax and accounting law requires.
You can ask us to delete specific records sooner, and we will unless we are legally required to keep them.
08Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs, and document storage is private by default — files you upload are reachable only through short-lived signed links issued to authorised users.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
09Your rights and choices
You can access, correct, export, or delete your information at any time from your account, or by writing to us. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and where it came from.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which, as stated above, we do not do.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. To exercise any of them, email yong@cloudberryai.io. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time the law allows.
10Your customers’ information
Where you load your customers' details into AXLE, you are the controller of that information and we process it under your instructions. You are responsible for having the right to provide it and for the messages you configure the platform to send. We will help you honour any access or deletion request one of your customers makes.
11Children
AXLE is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the product changes. When we make a material change we will revise the date at the top of this page and, if the change affects how we use information you have already given us, tell you directly before it takes effect.
